LORELANE LTD

Privacy policy

Last updated: 12 June 2026

This policy covers this website (lorelane.uk) and the Prismeal iOS app. The short version: this website collects nothing, and the app is built so that your data stays on your device.

The data controller is LORELANE LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (details in the footer). Questions about this policy: [email protected].

This website

This site is a set of static pages. It sets no cookies, runs no scripts, and includes no analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind. We do not collect any personal data through it.

The site is served by a hosting provider, which — like any web host — may keep short-lived technical logs of requests (such as IP address and the page requested) for security and operations. We do not access or use these logs to identify visitors.

The Prismeal app

Prismeal is currently in development and has not yet launched on the App Store. This section describes how the app handles data, ahead of its release.

No accounts, no identifiers

Prismeal has no user accounts and no sign-in. The app does not collect your name, email address, advertising identifier (IDFA), or any other identifier that links data to you as a person.

Your meal data stays on your device

Meal scans, nutrient estimates, logged meals, daily totals, and your targets are stored locally on your iPhone, in the app's own database. They are not uploaded to our servers and we cannot see them. Deleting the app deletes this data.

Photos are analysed transiently, not kept

When you scan a meal, menu, or label, the photo is sent to our backend over an encrypted connection so it can be analysed. The analysis uses a third-party AI vision service to produce the estimate. The photo is processed transiently for that single analysis and is not retained on our servers, not used to identify you, and not linked to any profile. The resulting estimate is returned to your device and stored only there.

Reminders are local to your phone

If you set a reminder in the app (for example a weekly reminder day and time), the schedule is stored on your device and the notification is generated by iOS locally. There are no push notifications and no server involvement; nothing about your schedule is sent to us.

Anonymous usage analytics

To understand which features are used, the app records anonymous usage events (for example, "a scan was completed" or "a setting was changed") using PostHog, an analytics service. These events:

Subscriptions

Purchases and subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your payment details. Apple's handling of that data is described in Apple's privacy policy.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR) you have rights over personal data we hold about you — including access, correction, and deletion. In practice we hold almost nothing: your meal data lives only on your device, so you can delete it yourself by deleting the app, and the analytics events we receive are anonymous and cannot be traced back to you. If you believe we hold personal data about you, or you have any other request, contact [email protected] and we will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Changes to this policy

If the app starts handling a new class of data — for example accounts or server-side history — we will update this policy before that change ships, and the "last updated" date above will change.
